As for the tourney it was all set up by the players...no system for it back then...after that they set up the tourney function...so us small few back in the day pioneered it.
Have to look back through my games to see who I had to play...I think Knightmare_NJ played sintubin...it was alot of fun.
Have to break down and get my pawn star again so I can get more involved here now.

Plus I am progressing up pretty quick already so maybe one day I can crack the top 100 again...doubt I will ever hold the #1 spot again...actually don't want it...heavy is the head that wears the crown.
As for clans...have to look into that more...kinda want to try that siege thing too...so many more options now.
And learn from me? Maybe when it comes to tactics and endgames but I think openings have progressed quite a bit...have to head down to Borders and see what is new...so far I have seen some things that have thrown me off a little but once the middlegame hits I roll back into that good feeling...lol

www.chessbase.com (much bigger, harder to use, and free)
I only have one schliemann game here...guy might have run me off the board except I stayed in the database for 24 moves.
And the offer for a game stands whenever you're ready.

As for the game...lets let me get my rating up to your level...probably won't beat ya but would hate for you to lose a ton of points if I did. Those places in the top 100 seem awful tight and hard to come by!

I bought a new MCO when I came here, but I don't use it much.
You can buy chessbase for your computer with even more games. Tebb told me to get it. I haven't yet.
