News publishers, and news shows think fat Rosie and anorexic Paris are such big news items?
I am so tired of their ilk. Fat Rosie and anorexic Paris that is. Well, and those cheap charlie news programs.

I think this is because it makes celebrities seem human and therefore the regular people can say to themselves: See! They are rich and famous and have the same problems I have or worse! I am not so bad off am I?
*edit* At least I hope thats it, otherwise it just says the public wants to see people self destruct on TV.

Originally posted by pawnhandlerI agree, I tune into the news for just that, the news. Leave the celebrity crap to Entertainment Tonight.

The news stoped being news and became entertainment. To a certain extent they are each catering to an audience. I think on another level the entertainment industry is, like most industries, wrapped up so tightly in itself that it can't imagine there is another world out there with different interests.
