I've been using it since the Beta releases last year and have no trouble with it at all.

Which is just an optional bar down the right side of the desktop that you can add little gadgets to (ie: RSS feeds, clocks, mini games, system tools, calenders, weather, traffic reports), kind of like FF extensions really. Beyond that, all the other changes are behind the scene stuff you won't even notice. It runs slightly faster, is slightly more secure, has better accessibility features for the disabled, uses less RAM and has a new file structure.

It's no way near the dramatic change from 2000 to XP as they haven't re-coded a new OS, but simply streamlined XP and upgraded it's graphics. In my opinion Vista is better than XP but not by much. It's certainly not worth the extortionate price M$ are charging for it. If it's free than go for it.
