@very-rusty saidAt age 30? That is awful .... but also useful information to retaliate with the next time some good looking thirty something young thing has a dig about my age 😺
Muscle loss can start after age 30 actually. Keep up the good work though as you are helping to build muscle, many people claim that swimming works all your muscles. I believe it to be true, also one feels very relaxed after a good swim, especially in the ocean, pool works too. Keep up the good work!!!

Trainers claim that being in shape also helps one mentally. I suppose that would be up for debate and don't know any actual testing that was done to prove that although someone may have stats on that or want to look it up.

@very-rusty saidOr the other way around - if there's food that you love with extra calories, you have to work (out) for it.
So you wind up putting more calories on than you've burnt off? Doesn't make much logic to me.

@torunn saidAnytime I eat something that I know I shouldn't be eating I feel bad about doing it, so it doesn't happen often in my case. It is a rare occasion I will treat myself to food considered bad for me.

@torunn saidI’ve started having a protein drink with skimmed milk then eat as much as I possibly can as long as it has a low saturated fat value ~ then I sometimes fall asleep for an hour. I’ve been a skinny oink since retiring and struggle to keep my weight on.
It's what you have deserved after your workout.
