The Glass Bridge Construction of the Skywalk began March of 2004 and will open March 28, 2007. It extends over 4000 ft. above the Grand Canyon.

This is embarrassing but I've lived in Arizona since 1988 and haven't visited the Grand Canyon.

you guys ! glass can be incredibly strong, blast resistant, bullet proof, fire resistant etc. i've walked on many glass bridges in places like shopping centres, its no big deal. actually, i reckon that because of a psychological
problem with glass, it is often over engineered, so a glass bridge is likely to be stronger.
