There are so many qualified gems in jazz, blues, the many layers of classical, and even rock that I have yet to discover.
Why would I ever want to wade through the morass of mediocrity that exists in rap just to find one song(I use that term very loosely) that may stand a test of time? Seems like a huge waste of time to me. Even the rap fans on this site universally proclaim that the mainstream is total garbage.
Rap is - to me - all recorded in 4/4 and much of it rhymes with Yo.
