I've checked a few online newspapers. A few are saying that Materazzi used the word 'terrorist', others are saying that there was an insult to his sister or mother. Others are simply saying that it was a 'grave insult'.
Of the two suggestions being made, I'd say only one was a grave insult.
I guess we'll find out soon.

I heard that Zidane believed that Materazzi was choking on something, and then simply performed his own version of the heimlich maneuver on him (a technique that has apparently saved dozens of lives). A full apology is expected from both Fifa and the government of Italy regarding the matter.
