Got this from the GM:
This is a note by the GM that there will be a veterans game held soon. This is only for experienced players who are looking for a major challenge (themap will have some of the best and most experienced players). To join, you must have completed at least 10 turns in a current MD game, without missing a turn, and should be very knowledgeable with the rules (no new players are permitted). If
interested, send the GM an email, with 3 countries of preference. There are 8 places remaining that are available. Since this is a special game, I will increase the normal game limit +1 for those interested, if they are absolutely sure that they can handle an additional game.
I'm not sure I want to take on the full responsibility of a third game, but I was thinking if other people were interested we could do it by committee. That is one guy would be primarily responsible for land movements, one for sea movements, one for diplomacy, one for production, etc. We'd, of course, confer with each other and act on consensus, sorta a "Medieval Board of Directors". Of course, I'd prefer people who are already playing the first MD game.
Anybody else interested?

Originally posted by no1marauderI think I'll pass on this one. Two games is enough for me. Plus I'd like to have another go at DragonLords when one of them finishes.

Although the prospect of playing with all competent players who won't drop out does sound appealing.
That sounds like a lot of fun, actually. Count me in. Rob (and others), remember each of us could only be responsible for a small part of the nation.
Here are the jobs as I see them so far:
Land Warfare
Sea Warfare
Production and Finances
Diplomacy
High King, coordinator of the other four (not necessary)
These are not in order of my preferences as I have not decided what I would want to do. If we went with this list, my least favorite slots would be High King and Sea Warfare, but I can't decide how I'd rank the other three.
Another possibility; two or more nations made up of smaller committees. For example, one person doing finances, production and diplomacy, and the other in charge of military matters.
EDIT - If we're going to do the large committee thing, a nation that isn't landlocked would be ideal (so that we can have the Admiral position having more than a minor role from the beginning). See if you can grab a nation with ocean access, no1. If nothing else you and I can do it, or I will take it for myself if you don't want in. I'd like to try one of the Muslim nations as my first choice.

So I guess I'll just withdraw the idea.
no1, please let me know if you're planning on running a committee nation. It will affect whether or not I will ask for a nation of my own. I suppose I could ask for the nation and then give it up for the committee if we get enough interest if you want.
