It's 1323. Pharoah's navy has smashed the Turkish fleet and now enjoys complete naval dominance of the eastern Mediterranean. Thanks, Rob, and to a lesser extent the Mediterranean Alliance (in other games), for teaching me the value of a strong navy. Unfortunately the Egyptian Marines were destroyed taking control of the sea and were therefore unable to land in Asia Minor. Roum is trying a heavy Skirmisher based strategy of some kind and is not annexing his provinces. He did however move a small squad in to Jerusalem to order the city to stop giving me taxes. I got my annexation cost back, so that's ok I guess.
The Horde and the Hafsids seem to be the first to be going down in the southeastern quadrant of the Euro-Mediterranean region. Sicily and Morocco are taking down the Hafsids, while Byzantium and Lithuania are smashing the Horde. Poland's invaded Hungary. Our very own Bosse (Arles) is also under heavy pressure. Bavaria's saying Arles is a nice guy but too passive and so must die (though Bavaria regrets it). He's moving in from the north with a quite talented infantry Commander named Tinhelm. Venice is coming from the east, and France from the west. Seeya Bosse! Sorry I couldn't help out more. Poland and Saxony are trading threats with Novgorod, Denmark and the Teutons. Apparently the Danes just invented Legos this year.

In other news, as ATY said, Horde, Arles and Hafsids will almost certainly be the first to go. The thing about veteran's games is that everyone moves so quickly on other nations. From my intel it appears that there will be a massive battle in the North involving France, Saxony, England, Denmark, Norway, Teutons and Novgorod. Nations will fall, lands will be conquered, and all Denmark can think of is inventing lego. π
I fear that Bosse will leave the game first or on the same turn as the Hafsids and then the Golden Horde in 2/3 turns time.
It is now 1324. The Turks have built a fleet of their own to rival Pharoah's; it's a hard call who is in the advantageous position. Fleets are equal, but he doesn't have any HP units; just Skirmishers (Archers). He's not annexing anything, so I may have an income edge; but he may have enough territory to offset that via pillaging. I've neutralized any possible interference from anyone except Lithuania, who might jump on Roum when they're done eating the Horde.
The Hafsids and the Horde are almost completely gone. Byzantium owns every port to the Black Sea. Arles seems to have fallen back to Savoy; he has nothing else left but he has a 1500 CP garrison. Aragon and Castile have declared a Reconquista against Morocco. The Poles are hitting the Hungarians and the Bavarians. The Bavarians and the Venetians are hitting Arles. Denmark's threatening Saxony.
1325. Not much has changed since last year for Pharoah. I have a stronger navy, but he might have the advantage on the ground. I'm not sure. He has greater production even without the territory he didn't annex. I need to attack him I suppose or he'll outspend me.
The Hafsids have been driven out of Africa by Sicily and Morocco into Naples and Sardinia. The Spanish Reconquista seems to have been a success; the Moors have been driven from Iberia and the Iberians own four western African territories. Hungary's booted Poland from his lands and the Horde is fleeing towards Hungary, chased by Byzantium and the Lithuanians. That region around the northwest coast of the Black Sea is quite war torn. Bosse's still alive in Savoy but who knows for how long? Venice alone has a greater army in the region than he does, and the Bavarians still have an army in the vicinity as well. However he did manage to drop a few troops into Tuscany, which was probably annoying for Venice. King Freddie's warring with the Danes, and the Teutons are apparently joining in against Freddie. Bavaria's still warring with the Poles.

Norway claimed to be on our side but has broken alliance with us. Bummer man. As far as I am aware, France and I alone have bigger armies than the opposition put together, and TO and Novgorod and Denmark will be throwing most of their troops at Saxony in the near future. Unlike the MMW game, I have actually managed to take control of all Britain and the UK in the first 6 turns! About to become royalty so I should be able to annex them all soon and make lots of money.
