In such countries there are a few people way above the average(rich) and many below the average...
Anyway, with such an average of <300$/year be sure that many of them (villages, poorer regions in that country) get a revenue <50$/year (they simply do not produce anything that can be sold/exported, they just try to eat around and survive)

Mr. vipiu most of the info is collected from those living in the rural settlements, etc. which hardly represent the majority of the population.
I'm an african living in africa and your information doesn't reprsent the majority. Sure, I'm sure some people live like that, but most are beggars and the like.
50$ is like N6000 and the minimum wage here in Nigeria is N10000/ month. Yeah it's pretty little compared to the rest of the world, but you can see that saying we earn 50$ a year is just dumb.
