Fat Lady contributes very much to the "Only Chess" forum. He clearly did a grave misstake if he posted a players real name. But he won't do it again, he learnt his lesson. And the rest of us have also learnt something from this incident.
I wouldn't say this if he is one of the people with low social skills that know nothing of how to behave in civilized manner - Fat Lady certainly does.
There is a benefit for all of us to have Fat Lady among us.
Unban him, let him explain his action, let him have a chance to clearly make a public excuse.
Lift the ban.
Originally posted by FabianFnasIf this is a first offence then the length of the ban seems excessive. Some people who are repeatedly abusive/offensive in the forums only seem to get short term bans.

I sent Fat Lady a Pm last night, advising him to edit the post. or send feedback to change the post. I too think an extended fora ban is overkill. But , Russ did say (In a forrum thread a while ago), that, that was a bannable offence, meaning banned from the site. So in some respects, the mod/admin team did cut him a break, of sorts.
I recall the post that got Fat Lady that ban.
That's absurd, and extremely unfair. The post regarded a user who is known to be excessively abusive (MerchantParkPro) and who has made numerous abusive posts - so many that !~Tony~! mentioned deleting his posts for a half hour. Honestly - nearly three years?
This ban should be lifted, I think 1 month would be more than sufficient.
