Hey guys out there.. GMs everyone who is good... Any of you can help me?!?!?!? I need to learn some good moves and stuff!!!... plz post!!
if it was as simple as teaching someone "the best moves" chess would be almost as boring as it is already
actually, i don't mean it like that...
chess isn't boring...
but it takes a ridiculously large amount of time for the average person to reach just the level of "good"
i don't pretend to be good, largely because I don't have the time or resources (money, books, etc.) to get good
to come on and ask the good people (except the mods) of this site is not only histerically hysterical, but it's retarted as well...
i learned when I was six, and have been receiving help here and there...
i just can't think of the adjective for what you (or anyone else) is doing by asking for the best moves like there's a magic trick to improving your chess...

I nvr asked specifically for magical moves that will make me win... I asked for ways 2 improve, tactics... like sicilian others...
rb, do you understand that the better players here can't just pour the knowlege into your head? You have to put forth some effort to learn.
Did you look at any of Dan Heisman's Novice Nook articles like I suggested? All I got in response from you was, "right...", which I'm not sure how to interpret. I'm really beginning to think that you're not sincere and that you're just jerking us around.
Try some puzzles from the posers and puzzles forum. Then google for some puzzles. Then do some more puzzles. Google for some simple openings, but pay more attention to openings when you've grown to at least 1400 (though knowing openings earlier doesn't do anything bad, instead, it's good if it's so, but tactics is the most important part). Do tactics all the time. That is the most important thing. Than just read the threads in this forum. There you can always find something useful. Analyze your games, look for mistakes, look for better moves. Asking someone for 'good moves and stuff' is useless as some people already pointed out. You have to spend time and energy yourself to learn something.
I hope this helps.
