You can't. Just play as efficiently as possible.

In short, you can't.

You can't force anyone to resign, although you could try to ask them (I think that's kind of rude, though). You'll just have to beat them!

Instant message them: "Hey, you seem like an interesting person. I'm an interesting person, too - let's talk PHILATELY."

You can't make them resign. However, it is courteous to resign a lost game. I hate when my opponent is completely lost, but refuses to resign and dances his king around the board.

When you resign you are conceding that the other player will most likely not screw up the ending. If you aren't convinced of the winning players technique it would make sense to play on and hope for a blunder that leads to a win or draw.

I had a few players on the ropes lately and it wasn't until a few moves into the lost game that I was able to put enough pressure on them to get the resignation.

A winning advantage is not a win. I think this is the best part of RHP. OTB you can mess up a few moves of a won game and still finish. With RHP you must find the most exact finish in order to end the game weeks or months early. That should be your focus.

I guess you could send the person a message describing your plan or even giving the moves if it's a slam dunk, but I think that would be horrible sportsmanship.

I would just play on.
