I would say B to d3. I think CM's next move wil be N to d4 with an expectancy of our knight to attack allowing CM to advance a pawn into attacking position of the Q's knight.. definitely,

Moving that bishop hangs our b2 pawn to the queen, who would continue to ravage our position and win at least another pawn (as if one pawn weren't enough to throw away to a computer getting an hour per move).
Anyway, 9. ... Nd4 would lose another pawn to 10. Nxe5 which is throwing away material and a good position. Although chessmaster wouldn't miss the Qxb2 anyway.
Bg2 is definitely our best bet and there isn't any immediate threat that I can see.

I agree though, everyone, including me is being too pesimistic, lets just play the best game we can and see how well we do.
Bg7 is good but I still vote Bg2 😉
This move is so obvious, I think cheesecake should end the vote early again.
I think CM moved it's queen out too early for the sake of pity and easy tactical threats to stop, comps always do this, they play like complete gimps but somehow kick our butts with tactics alone...
Anyways, just approach this like an ordinary game, and let's not react to Qb6, like it probably wants us to do.
I vote Bg2, and no matter what chessmaster moves, I see us castling the next move.
