I'm surprised you didn't see the 12 move mate if he had taken the bishop. These guys are sharp.

Stop playing Smaug and DF buddy and your chess will improve. If you have heard of the CTS try one or two tactical puzzles.

He wont improve if he will play only against weaker opponents. So he will do better ignoring your advices.
