Second question: after returning from the queue and having got home, does "the group of people" make the same journey again? Or is it a once off thing?

I'm supposed to only answer yes ,no or irrelevant but to save you splitting your question into two, they are a group of "specialised" individuals with a common aim,

Only thing is , I used it in a club forum a year or 2 ago so someone may have remembered it:-
A group of people are waiting in a queue after travelling over 8 hours to get to the back of it
After some time they get to the front.
At this point they leave the queue and go back to where the ...[text shortened]... nything to do with bargains in a store, or tickets being sold out or sports stadiums being full.
After some time they get to the front.
At this point they leave the queue and go back to where they originally set out from.
I'm assuming there's something they do when reaching the front of the queue. If they fail in whatever it is they attempt, do they go back to where they came from because they didn't accomplish their mission?
In other words, if any group succeeds does this mean they do not go back to where they originally set out from?

A successful group would eventually go back to where they set out from but not before a further stage.
My group failed though not through their own fault and so were forced to return immediately.
The location is the key.
In a locked room, a man has committed suicide by hanging. In his hand he holds a piece of wood. Looking in through the window is another man holding a smaller piece of wood. He is laughing. Why?

Not heard this in this format.
Perhaps it's more complicated than the version I know.
Is the room somewhere hot?
