I learned how to play chess when i was 7 from my dad, but only ever played my brother and as friend, i picked it up again when i was 18 after a friend told me he could play.I stopped again a year later, and only started again when i joined this site (you're the genius, so i don't need to tell you when that was) ...[text shortened]... well, thank you very much .
😴 now crawl back into your hole and play with your bishop 😴
All those excuses are lame. In this, the information and computer age, you can learn quite a bit about chess without ever setting foot inside a chess club. Staying around 1200 is pretty sad - the national average for the US OTB is around 1450. You should at least be able to match that before you call yourself even an average player.

😴 hahahahahahahaha😴
edit. you do realise that more than half the users on the site are rated bellow me.You've just alienated around 6000 users, users who actually play on the site, might i add 🙂

Which is a skewed statistic because rank amateurs typically aren't interested in what their OTB rating is.

A revealing stat, if true. As if that's not bad enough, judging from my 70 RHP rated games, RHP ratings are inflated. That is, a 1600 player here does not play as strong as a 1600 USCF.
I suspect many of your 6000 users are people who started out as 1200-rated provisionals, but stopped playing after a few games. Mind sharing the source of your data?
