Posting for recs always seemed like a stupid thing to do to me. All I do is say what I would say otherwise and if people like it they rec me.
Who really cares who has the most recs?

For this reason I also think that all the recs system it's useless.

It should probably be more useful if there was a rec / minus rec system, where you could have negative post scores as well as positive ones, similar to slashdot.

I don't think minus recs should come off the rec count, but should be added to a 'Total disagree' count. Disagree being the only word I can think of after a few pints.

For the record, the poeple posting frequently in 'debates' usually get more rec's than everyone else. Simply because they will post their view and everyone that supports their ideals will rec them.
