well, you could construe it as a burden being placed upon the perpetrator of the crime,
imagine he rapes the wrong person and ends up with a Medusa of a chick that hes
never allowed to be free of and she makes his life a misery every day? Plus he had
to pay for the privilege of his life being a nightmare every day.

That's lame.

Look at it this way, if a guy is capable of raping a teenage girl (because that's what we're talking about here), i'm pretty sure she is not going to be making his life a misery. It's going to be the other way round. If he's capable of carrying out a heinous act of violence once, he's capable of doing it again, and again, and again........get the picture?!

well ok, but imagine, they had no street lighting back then and he might have jumped
the ugly sister and end up devastated. Na in all seriousness, he should have his
goolies cut off with a rusty saw, but imagine that hes falsely charged with rape by a
chick he doesn't fancy?

robbie, when you read back over these 'jokes' of yours about rapes and "chicks" and whether or not they are ugly etc. etc. do you feel entirely comfortable with how you are coming across?

i never give it a second of thought, i have more pressing things to concern myself with
than the perceptions of others, to be honest. But it seems that you do not?

The reason you interpret it the way you do is because of your evil mind.
No it's because it says so in the bible, it's one of the clearer parts of the bible, less poetry more getting down to
business.

And you have in the past admitted that this is what it says.

You really think a book divinely inspired by god would be so hard to work out it's meaning?
That a being as intelligent as you imagine god to be would create something that was so easy to misunderstand
and interpret whichever way you please?

If you can read Deuteronomy and still believe in a just and moral god then it is you who have the sick and twisted mind.

It reflects very poorly on you, that's all.

let me tell you an interesting event that happened to me yesterday. On the
recommendation from a friend i asked a player, if they would like to play and jokingly
added that i would go easy on them. The player rated some 400 points above me
wrote back to the effect that I had better learn to address higher rated players with
more respect and I was not the sort of person they would ever consider playing a
game of chess with. why do I tell you this? simply put, whatever a person wishes to
perceive as their reality is formed not by the content of my text, but by their reaction
to it. However thanks for your concern and ill try to tone it up a bit.

Well that's a long and thoroughly nonplussing response, robbie. I just found your comments about "chicks" getting raped, and their ugliness etc. totally grotty. Just saying, that's all.

sure thing, next time i read cindarella ill be sure to censure out 'the ugly sisters' and
make them the 'less attractive sisters' and when my wife goes on a night out to see a
'chick flick', with her girlfriends ill give her a stiff reprimand on your behalf, your
perceptions of a piece of frivolous ribaldry between me and proper knob, not
withstanding, reveal a reflection of you FMF, not of me.

Pretty vacant and out to lunch!

Your "piece of frivolous ribaldry" about girls being raped is tawdry teenage stuff, robbie. Like part of you didn't grow up. Just saying, that's all.

Yep .. the parts between his legs and between his ears, did not grow up 😀

I particularly find it distasteful to comment about peoples looks especially when they are not really pleasing to look at, simply becuase they did not make themselves. Good-looking people did not make themselves either so they should not boast about their looks.

Try Dueteronomy 22:28-29

If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
It is idiocy like this that make the efforts of some herein so gosh-darned laughable. You, googlefudge and others seize upon isolated parts of Scripture and with your over-the-top 'a-ha!' mentality, demand all the readers to doubt the moral superiority (and thus the authority) of both the Bible and God.

Not even close.

Take the text within context and you'll get a much, much different picture than the one you take great pains to depict. Try reading the verses leading up to the one you quote and you'll find a different tone toward rapists than the one you think you're reading here. There is nothing within this verse which in any way, shape or form implies rape--- unlike the earlier verses which depict forcible rape... and the consequences thereof.

The verse you quote speaks of them being found thus the action of two people, not the force of one upon another. For an idea of the moral purity demanded within the community, look several verses prior to this one and see what the consequences would befall both the man and the woman found in a compromising position.

yeah because lets face it 'the ugly sisters', weren't really ugly at all, thy were merely
,'less attractive,' than Cinderella and couldn't help it at all. We should rewrite the
children stories to accommodate your sensitivities in this delicate matter. While you
plastic Christians were killing each other by the millions were were not, just saying.
