@dj2becker saidWas the "handicapped" banter a kind of revenge by you for some perceived slight in the past?
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

@dj2becker saidDid your neurologist say you were wise to get yourself checked out? Did you tell him or her that you'd got the idea from someone with a lot of experience of dealing with autism?
Still doesn't justify your ad hominem.
@dj2becker saidYes, but it was an ad hominem because you tried to use it to characterize my arguments as "hateful" instead of addressing those arguments. If your neurologist has told you that you are not autistic, then presumably there is some other reason for your behaviour. I have never attributed any of your beliefs or your arguments to autism.
You said you suffered a near fatal motorcycle accident, I was interested in whether you fully recovered.
@dj2becker saidWhat did a motorcycle accident have to do with my arguments regarding "born again" ideology and the notion of "humility"?
You said you suffered a near fatal motorcycle accident, I was interested in whether you fully recovered and whether it had anything to do with your loss of faith.
@fmf saidYou should call things as you see them. I do. I have never attributed any of your beliefs or your arguments to you having a disability, I simply asked you a question, unlike you with your Autism insult.

@dj2becker saidI think you did. You specifically tied it to my argument on page 1 of that thread. You suggested that me being "handicapped" might explain the "hatred".
I have never attributed any of your beliefs or your arguments to you having a disability
@dj2becker saidIt was not an insult.
I simply asked you a question, unlike you with your Autism insult.
If I'd asked you if your arguments in support of your belief in a creator and moral law giver were the product of autism, then that would have been an ad hominem, for sure.
But that wasn't what happened, as you well know.
If I'd suddenly abandoned our conversation and, instead, started claiming that you are very "hateful" and "bitter" and "angry" towards me, and topped it off with the question "Are you autistic? That would explain a lot."
Then that would have been an ad hominem, without a doubt.
But that wasn't what happened either.
@dj2becker saidFMF: Do you still believe I am "handicapped"?
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
There remains some doubt? Why? Is there still some lingering suspicion that the nature of my arguments on page 1 of that thread about "humility" were caused by me being "handicapped"?
@dj2becker saidWhy do you keep calling them "handicapped"? Is it still the 1970s where you live?
Why would you question your judgement for befriending a handicapped person? Do you have a policy of not befriending handicapped people?
@dj2becker saidSarcasm really does go over your head, doesn't it?
