Lol, I dunno Swissgambit my friend, it seems to me, that we are distraught when someone close to us dies, infact nothing prepares us for it, we grieve and are literally floored. in our heart of hearts if we believe that they are someplace better why are we not happy for them? in some instances if the person was suffering severe pain or a chronic il ...[text shortened]... given as a guarantee, that this was possible, being the first to be raised from the dead.

But I don't care whether you or God are OK with it. I have a PASSION for saving souls that evidently exceeds both yours and his.
His hands are tied - he must follow his own rules. He's getting tons of souls for heaven whether he likes it or not!
Think of it as an enhanced plan of salvation. 100% success rate! How many evangelists can produce those kind of numbers? Billy Graham, eat your heart out.

unequivocally YES, all persons who have died (with the exception of those who sinned against the Holy Spirit), whether they were righteous or unrighteous, will be resurrected and given the opportunity to learn of God and to reach perfection, which was denied them, while in a sinful state or in a state of ignorance. This is not only an aspect of Gods ...[text shortened]... e is going to be [b]a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

I do read some parables that I have trouble understanding at first, but I research it or ask someone more schooled in the NT than I am.
What Jesus said to the thief next to him is not a parable. It was a straight-up statement. Jesus was telling the repetant thief (sinner) that he would be with Jesus THAT DAY after they had both expired on the cross. Plain straight-up statement/promise...no parable.

No, seriously, I'll just practice as an abortion doctor. I can save as many souls as I want legally that way.

Not as straight forward as it sounds. 'Day' only holds meaning on earth. If for some reason their souls left their body and traveled west, would their 'day' have ended faster and thus the promise have to be fulfilled quicker? What would 'day' mean in heaven? If heaven is not in the physical universe then how is its time related to earths? If it is 12:00 UTC on earth is it the same time in heaven?

Luke 23:43
43And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."
(NAS)
Now, if you place the comma after Today, you have a whole different meaning. It should read thus...
Luke 23:43
43And He said to him, "Truly I say to you today, you shall be with Me in Paradise."
(NAS)
As in future tense. Furthermore, if he was to be with Jesus in Paradise Today, there is more conflict, since Jesus went in the ground 3 days and 3 nights. So He could not be in Paradise Today. I believe this comma was inserted incorrectly by someone with a biased or erroneous conviction. Punctuation is very helpful, but it must be carefully studied to see if it conflicts with the rest of the bible.
In II Timothy there is an interesting verse...
2 Tim 2:15
15Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.
(NAS)
2 Tim 2:15
15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
(KJV)
