I personally believe that if a person is a homosexual they should be free go right ahead and find a partner for "mutual sex play" if that is what they want to do, although the details of what they do is none of my business.

Atheists dont need to follow the guidelines in the Bible or any religions book for that matter. Religious people do so thats why all religions consider homosexuality to be shameful. Of course thats up to the individual.

Just a point. The Bible clearly says that sex is only allowed between a man and a women after marriage.
No other forms of sex are permitted by God. If one does not has a normal sexual relations with his wife or husband then it is against God's designs for humans. If one is having sex with themself, is that not a homosexual act?
