I jumped using a parachute, but unfortunately sir I landed on your car.
It's okay. It's insured.

Did I mention I was accompanied by my hippopotamus? Are you sure your insurance covers that? Here's a whimsical poem while you check the small print:

My hippopotamus isn't happy,
I threw him from a plane,
his parachute was defective
of course I got the blame.

You miss the point of the anecdote. 'One jumps with a parachute. One jumps with prayers'.

Of course both could have used parachutes, but that's not what has occurred. One has trusted themselves to God and one has trusted themselves to mans ingenuity.
It's still a false narrative and a bad analogy.

Especially as he asked me in his previous post if all I had was 'personal attack.'

I guess we can add hypocrite to his list of character flaws.

If you were a 100% sure, is that faith?
um, no. that's conviction. No faith required.
I cant believe you (or the down thumber) doesn't get this.

It's only when we are not entirely sure when we need faith

No, no, no.

As I just said to KJ, faith is why
we are 100% sure.

Faith isn't some artificial "crutch" for those who aren't "sure".

It is the reason why we are sure.
Faith implies that you don't know how something is going to happen, or the processes involved, you just know it will happen.
I don't see how that adds upto being 100% sure.

Yes, however it does highlight the troubles with having only faith to rely on

It was not a personal attack, it is the truth.

Do I really have to re-tell the story of two boats and a helicopter?
