@Lionel-Hutz saidDefine "honest woman" in that circumstance.
Live? B-b... but I want to marry them. How else can I make an honest woman from each one of them?
@Lionel-Hutz saidThen I’d advise you to avoid Kentucky as well.
Maybe. The problem is that I dislike living in the Stone Age among barbarians.
@rookie54 saidHe is very readable, intelligent, interesting, and coherent. It’s what’s left of Christianity if you subtract all the supernatural bits. Very Post-modern. Of course, the Archbishop of Canterbury is not amused… 😒

So the guy is a kind of Bultmann?
But what would you need a religion for, that is stripped of all Supernaturality?
This is the Spirituality Forum after all.
@Ponderable saidCupitt is trying to make Christianity believable for modern scientific people who want to see evidence for extraordinary claims. He actually calls his position "Christian Buddhism" in one of his books: believe what you want, as long as it makes you happy and oh by the way, you still have to keep the Ten Commandments, or at any rate the ones which do not require belief in supernaturalism: 'thou shalt have no other gods before me' is out, but 'thou shalt not kill' is still on. It's potsherd agnosticism, IMO.

@Ponderable saidYes but, Buddhists explicitly state that you don't have to believe in the supernatural aspects (such as re-incarnation). Buddhists have the concept upaya, which doesn't translate into a single English word but means roughly "useful crutches." Buddhists say you can believe in gods or God or re-incarnation if that helps you to achieve the blessed state, but if they hinder you in achieving the blessed state, then don't.
@moonbus
Actually there is supernatural content in Bhuddism also.
@Lionel-Hutz saidwould you please link to this 'hell' to which you refer?
All those fellas are going to hell. Literally. Eternal fire where the gnashing of teeth is endless. Bunch of thieves, liars, sodomites. They preach the world instead of the Word.
Oh well, good morning, sinners!

I am sure about the Air BnB so the pix should be there. Looks cozy
@mchill No you cannot be a Mormon . God sent a message right after the US government was refusing to allow Utah statehood over a century ago ago . Plural marriage is no longer allowed . You can surely see that this is a clearly an act of God . Possibly .
