so are you saying it is possible for your conscience to die? i dont think so
why don't you think so? Why wouldn't it die? Everything else that lives also dies. Where does your consciousness "go"? some parallel universe? Where is it now?

The answer in that it's in you head, and once your head is filled with maggots, your conscienciousness is in trouble

Yea, probably moreso than some of his other stuff. Elephant Man is pretty normal.

Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway are in my top five favorite movies.

I'm not bored. However, the question of whether I'm filling my life with meaningful events or useless trivia is another matter . . .

you have to believe in an afterlife to believe a conscious can not die, but if you dont believe in afterlife then your conscious dies when you die

Mulholland Dr. is pretty good but somewhat irrelevant to immortality. 😉

Define immortality. Is it surviving after your body dies or is it avoiding physical death altogether? If it is the later I'm afraid I have some bad news for you.

Within my lifetime I expect to be able to download my mind/consciousness into a robot body that can be replaced, repaired, upgraded, etc. This is how I will live forever, I have no intention of dying, ever.

I'm 16 actually.
The idea that someday I might die scares the crap out of me. 🙁

Why? Because death opens the door to the unknown?
