    Amish paradise anyone?

But that's just perfect for an Amish like me
You know, I shun fancy things like electricity

But you'd probably think it bites

Why would affection for songs be part of "the things on the earth" that are precluded by your spirituality?

What say you? Does this song resonate for you, and in what way?
Suzy, if you can interpret this song in it's meaning, I will rank you right up there with the likes of Joseph in the Bible interpreting dreams.

It's not just "Dive", it's about all of us.

All of the "wayward" souls, like the prodigal son, searching for an answer, and hopefully finding it and coming back "home".

And the answer is Jesus. The way, The truth and The life.

I try not to encourage trolling like that.

The thread would have rolled along fine without the distraction.

That's as may be, but do you deny that others find other paths?

Maybe not "to God", but to peace and some of the answers they seek.

    Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

There is only one path to real peace, and that path is "in Christ".

Notice how Paul states in his epistles the phrase "grace and peace". In that order. Without grace there is no peace.

The scriptures also distinguish between "peace with God" and "the peace of God". Salvation makes one at peace "with" God, but then there is the peace "of" God, which is as a result of a life lived for God in obedience to the Word of God.

For the purposes of this thread, what do perceive the word "wayward" as meaning in practical terms? Difficult to control or predict because of unusual or problematic behaviour.from the point of view of others, a group, or a set of rules or standards the "wayward" person is deviating from?

Or do you see it - for this thread, anyway - being more a case of finding it difficult to control oneself and to conform to one's own standards and therefore reach one's goals?

Everybody should start talking like this

***** Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say. *****

    LOL
