We have a few religions and religious beliefs represented here. We also have athiests agnostics and others.
If you could choose a member of the RHP community to "represent" your position , who would you choose and why?
I can think of a few but I'll go with Taoman
Originally posted by nook7interesting, what about yourself, is it incumbent that you deride others without first looking at yourself? just sayin.
lol, you would make my list!, as would Taoman - but l can go past vistesd for the quality of posting despite the idiocy (on occasion) of the other poster(s)

Indeed, another quality poster on these forums
Robbie - incoherent babbler who lacks patience
FMF - excellent analytical skills but focuses too much on the individual, never produces empirical evidence
RJHinds - southern baptist crazy who never the less has a certain novelty value

Hmm where to start....
Originally posted by nook7If I were to pick from the atheists I would probably go for twhitehead or vistesd. Agerg would be in the frame too. If I were to pick from the "former-Christians" I would pick JS357 or SwissGambit. If I were to pick from the religionists/theists, I'd go for epiphinehas.

Why? Intellect and integrity, and ability to communicate, in each case.

Dasa - Violent nut job, struggling to repress his sexual obsession with muslim men and rape.
I'd use LemonJello as my starter and FMF as my closer. LJ is objective enough to give credit to good arguments on the other side, and makes his own with precision and care. Sure, the other side may have to learn a bit of jargon, but it's good for 'em.
If they get too evasive, I'll turn them over to FMF for interrogation. He'll find a salient question or two that they won't, or can't, answer, and press it relentlessly until they admit it or suddenly develop better things to do. He's like a Pit Bull locked on to an ankle. You can't shake him.

Swissgambit - atheist in denial, would convert back to Christianity if the right chick
came along. Antithesis of the straw atheist Vulcan, has a sense of humour and a
willingness to see both sides of an argument.
Agers - a number crunching atheist mandlebrot fractal, has a two dimensional
understanding of spirituality, his and not yours, unwillingness to see the value of
spiritual teaching, irrespective of the existence of God.
twithead - epitome of the Vulcan atheist, dry, humourless and pedantic, sees human
emotions as irrational, probably autistic, too quick to accuse others of lying on the
basis of scant or no evidence, never the less, posts are generally concise and lucid.
Jaywill, - sincere and interested enough to try to reach out, articulate and learned,
reams and reams of text may be off putting to those with a short attention span,
man enough to admit mistakes and issue an apology.
