We Christians are not expecting any president to advance the work of Christ. That job is left to us. However, I believe a Republican presidency is more friendly to our efforts than a socialist democratic presidency will be. That means more freedom from government controls.

Vote all you want buddy but it's all in vain. Man will never solve the problems that Jehovah and his son Jesus will. "Do not put your trust in earthling man" says your bible. But apparently you don't agree?
So you agree with robbie about not standing up for what is right, not opposing what is wrong, and remaining "neutral", and that this is what you think Jesus told you to do?

Actually you didn't say anything because they contradict your claims.

The historians do provide a reason, they state that Christians had a more
sacred duty, that being the teaching a preaching of Gods Kingdom, if you think that
being taken to prisoner in Rome, chained to a guard and being kept under house arrest

certainly doesn't mean you are being a political activist by doing so, does it.
The opportunity to vote political representatives into office that are more friendly to our cause is available to us now. If we don't exercise our political right to vote, we should not complain about the political representative that imprison us for trying to spread our religious view to the public in the future.

P.S. I bet you got those reasons from a Watchtower publication.

So you feel you are able to speak out against, and take action to oppose political injustice? robbie has been saying that he must remain what he calls "neutral".

It is common for heretics and apostates like Jehovah's Witnesses and Muslims to misquote the early Church Fathers and to read their own post-biblical and heretical views back into the Patristic writings. One such Father that is often misquoted is Origen. Heretics and apostates often misquote Origen and define his use of terms in light of their own heretical views and then claim that Origen denied the essential Trinity and the eternal existence of the Son.

It explains so much.
You do realize that the heretical Arian belief has been adopted by the JWs today, don't you?

Well I will try again, yes. Here: Do you feel you are able - permitted - morally justified - to speak out against, and take action to oppose, political injustice in the society in which you live? That's a point blank question.

What does the bible say?

I'll make you and the othesr here a deal...

You all can interprete the Bible anyway you want and hedge the laws in it as you see fit that fits into your opinions. Fight and kill for your country and get involved in it's politics all you want. Do whatever you feel you have to do with blood and take your chances with God when he might ask you why you didn't listen to him on even the simple things like " don't kill and love your neighbor as yourself".
If you feel you think those laws are wrong so be it.
But don't condemn us for taking those words in the Bible very literal. We do not play with those laws and water them down to fit what the world wants or percieves them to mean. Yes the same governments the Bible condemns and promisses that very soon will be destroyed that so many of you pledge your allegance too.
If you feel the bible does not mean that blood transfusions are wrong, go for it. But God said to abstain from blood. We abstain from blood as a result of that law.
So the issue is this. Do whatever you want to do just as man has done for centuries. Go for it. But stop the hypocritical bashing of the Witnesses for simply following the bible and not giving into you and the rest of the worlds opinions which in God's eyes mean nothing. I answer only to God. Not you or any man made imperect government run by a bunch of tiny little humans with no answers to anything on this planet and obviously no clue to the warnings held out to them in the Bible..

Have a great night.
