I wonder if you JWs are ever going to answer divegeester's questions below:
"You like to keep throwing out "be no part of the world" whever it suits your purposes but I assume you have a job, pay taxes, do you have/once have a mortgage? That's a big debt to the "world", did you pay interest on it? Do you watch sport on TV or live? Do you go to the cinema, restaurants, shows? Do you own a car? Is it modest? You like cars don't you...?"

Well I will try again, yes. Here: Do you feel you are able - permitted - morally justified - to speak out against, and take action to oppose, political injustice in the society in which you live? That's a point blank question.
And that is related to what the Bible cleary says.
But no matter how I answer this I know beyond a shadow that you will twist it and say I said something I did not.
So go for it an lets see what you come up with now.

But stop the hypocritical bashing of the Witnesses for simply following the bible and not giving into you and the rest of the worlds opinions which in God's eyes mean nothing. I answer only to God. Not you or any man made imperect government run by a bunch of tiny little humans with no answers to anything on this planet and obviously no clue to the warnings held out to them in the Bible.

But on the last page, just a few posts ago we had this exchange...

So you agree with robbie about not standing up for what is right, not opposing what is wrong, and remaining "neutral", and that this is what you think Jesus told you to do?
No I don't agree with anything you just said.
Then I asked:

So you feel you are able to speak out against, and take action to oppose political injustice? robbie has been saying that he must remain what he calls "neutral".
To which you replied:

I don't believe I said I spoke out about anything of that sort did I? Lol, but you keep trying don't ya...
Which seemed to be a bit of a dodge, so I pressed you on it with:

And now your answer is "no"?
Can you explain the inconsistency?

But to refresh your memory, get this point.
If I saw someone attacking you I would help all I could to keep you from being hurt. All effort possible would be used to stop it and to refrain that person until you were safe. If I were to kill that person it would be by accident and even then I will answer to God for taking a life.
Now in reguards with being involved in voting to stop and correct some larger injustices that may be going on in my commuity such as crime, the Bible clearly says to honor that God is the one who will handle that problem as in vengance is his and even his son said to not be involved in the worlds issues. He gave us a commision to preach and teach and never said in any form to get involved it it's politics and in fact said to be neutral as we are.

Originally posted by galveston75Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
Wow, but then that does not suprise me. Why can you not see the clear answer there?
Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”
Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?”
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
(John 18:33-37 NKJV)
When Jesus said this, he was denying an earthly rulership that the Jews were accusing him of. He was not saying that his people should avoid politics. Therefore, there's nothing from this passage that suggests we should stay out of politics.
P.S. Why does the Watchtower think voting is evil and wrong?

Would you stand up for me [or others] and speak out against and/or oppose political injustice?
Originally posted by galveston75I haven't mentioned "voting". There is a lot more to "politics" than voting. There is advocacy. There is activism. There is volunteerism. There is community empowerment. There is lobbying for change. There is protesting. There is contributing to the discourse. There is much, much more to "politics" than just "voting".

When it comes to "wrong" and "evil" and "injustice", you would have us believe that Jesus told you not to stand up against them and oppose them in any of the ways listed above?
Originally posted by FMFI think they may have to ask their leadership, if they could testify for you in a court trial and perhaps it would depend on what the political issue that is at dispute.
