Tell that to the non-Muslim victims at the Bali bombing

I wonder what it is you are trying to say here to a person who lost friends in that atrocity?

Go for it. Your attempt to hurt me is unclear. I am not hurt yet. Go ahead and hurt me.

we shouldn't have given one DANMED dime!!

Maybe you shouldn't have. Not if you personally wanted to be thanked by me. I didn't give a dime. Not even one, as I have admitted on the Debates forum.

"we shouldn't have given one DANMED dime!!" Is this a Jesus-type comment? Did Jesus tell you to handle this point in this way?

As I am a Christian, I apologise if I hurt your feelings regarding the loss of freinds during the tsunami. I am glad that the US could help in any way. I know that we would help again if another tsunami hit. I cannot, in good conscience, continue to argue with you regarding religion/politics because I may say something that I may regret. Once again, I apologise for my last post and all other posts that have offended you. Regards, dystoniac

I know what you're on about. And I also know that you didn't mean to go where you almost went. So you didn't go there, as far as I am concerned. Kerfuffle over.

😛

I read somewhere that Muslims elsewhere regarded the tsunami as divine retribution, infact i even remember conversing with some in Glasgow on the subject and they affirmed as much, the reason that they gave is that everything, both good and bad comes from the hand of God and as you are aware they are strict believers in fate. I tried my best to refute this, but had, as usual, very limited success.

When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. James 1:13

You talked to some people in Glasgow. Good for you.

Your shocking anti-Muslim prejudice expressed in other hysterical posts and threads makes me laugh at the picture of you talking to "Muslims in Glasgow". You don't even accept that Indonesia is the biggest Muslim country in the world because you're just so so very very furious about it all. You lived in Pakistan and, by your own admission, didn't find one single Muslim you could have a "worldy" conversation with! Put that on your CV, Mr World Citizen, right under the bit about being Mr Angry Pants with his bug jar full of terrible tales of one religion's atrocities.

There were a couple of Christian evangelist groups that were evicted from Aceh (Indonesia) for using up manpower, fuel and transport shortly after the disaster in order to go around to devastated villages and try to tell them that the tsunami was a punishment from the Christian God for being Muslims - complete with the handing out of doctored Korans.

I find this gap between your Mr Demented Hatred persona, and your Mr Methaqualone one quite intriguing.

Sorry for brushing off your Glasgow Epiphany.

look Mr , it is Mr. isnt it? this post of yours is so full off absolute nonsense as to be almost incredulously unreal, in fact i am not even sure that you exist now, but let us pretend that you do and i will address these points that you make. Firstly i am not anti Muslim, i have a great regard and sympathy for Muslims, my best friend in college was a Muslim, i am however vehemently opposed to Islam, do you understand the difference? the second point is also quite erroneous, i stated that while Indonesia may indeed be the largest country geographically, there are many others living there who are not Muslim, therefore the country with the largest percentage of Muslims per capita, is Pakistan, do you understand the difference? You have never been to Pakistan have you, you have no idea of the environment have you? yet you are able to pontificate to others, what does that say about you my friend, really?

Your highlighting what Christian evangelical groups did is a pathetic and baseless attempt to be evasive (again) for my point has to do with Islamic point of view that this tsunami was wrought by God, why are you unwilling to accept this, does it offend your jaded view of Islam, oh wait, a little sore point, don't worry bad ol putty cat, i wont press it too hard, for id hate to see your deluded little glass onion world crash all about your head at once.

So if you will kindly refrain from your colourful rhetoric and creative use of adjectives bordering on verbose diatribe and actually address the point, we may do well!

MUSLIMS STATED THAT THE TSUNAMI WAS DIVINE RETRIBUTION FROM GOD, i have shown the refutation of this, but what have you to say for yourself?

So all the trials by God listed in the Old Testament were not evil, or does God contract such things out to the Devil as he did with the temptation of Jesus?

My understanding of 'largest Muslim country' would be either the largest Geographically that has a significant Muslim population or the largest population of Muslims. The largest percentage of Muslims per capita just doesn't fit the description.

Yes I do. And it seems you don't. The "largest" country is decided by population or by area. In both cases, Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world. End of story, I'm afraid. The "largest Muslim country in the world is not the country with the largest percentage of Muslims per capita. Sorry. There are 202,000,000 Muslims in Indonesia. Which country tops that? Whatsmore, those 202,000,000 Muslims live alongside 30 or so million people of other faiths, which means that incoherent Islamophobes like yourself might just have a thing or two to learn about Islam by taking a look at what goes on in the biggest Muslim country in the world, rather than atrocity-focal-points of your self-serving choice. This world is a complicated place regardless of the simplistic prejudices you brandish.

oh bad ol putty cat i stand corrected, you are the biggest and best, how silly of me to have doubted you, oh well, but wait, that only leaves the Pope and Muhammad to nurture any claims of infallibility, and i thought it was a human trait, now to business, will you comment on the Islamic interpretation of the tsunami, that it was divine retribution or will you conveniently brush it under that jaded Persian rug. ssshhhh but between you and me, id take the fifth, for whatever you say, you are likely to incriminate yourself, Why?, For such a statement is reminiscent of the type of utter lies and complete nonsense that Islam is want to foment. You know what is of real interest to me in all this, the person that i spoke to, among others was a Molvi (Islamic religious leader), I stopped him on the street as he was passing and i asked him about the tsunami, he was just as evasive as you, muttered something about coming to the mosque and you will find out, i knew it there and then he was a purveyor of untruth and to borrow a phrase from my friend blackbeetle - nothing holy could be found there!
