Honestly I've received the most joy out of reading my bible. When I first became a Christian I would read my bible 3-4 hours a night. LOL People thought I lost mind.

Indeed 🙂 I remember when I first read Romans 3:21-24 It's was like a light bulb came on. A gift from God. I was a 19 year old.

Yes it is in the bible.
It is also in other books.
Even I could be inspired by God to 'channel' some of 'His' words. The question then would be : how would you know what is from God and what isn't?
I believe there is disinformation in the bible. A shame really because it would've been such a good book.

You were fortunate to be so young when you first believed.

I was 28 and thoroughly hedonistic. That was 27 years ago. It's been a long hard road to sanctification.

What you won't find in those "other books" is Jesus.

Jesus is the most significant and singularly unique individual who has ever lived. There is no one else like Him.

Think about it. God becomes a man. He lives a sinless life. He was crucified and raised from the dead.

There's just isn't any comparison of this story to anything else in the world.

He paid a dept He didn't owe.
I owed a dept I couldn't pay.

I believe that sanctification is a life long process. I believe that when you become a Christian you are positionally sanctified but we also go through the process of Christ sanctifying us as we walk with Him. Becoming experientially sanctified.

Indeed I believe people would be less hostile with Christians if they understood the true message. It's like being on death row. We did the crime yet Christ says " No my child I will take that sentence of death for you" Just believe me.

Of a truth.

One day though, we will be just like Jesus.

But for now we have His word and the Holy Spirit to guide us unto all truth.

Praise God!

But as a man He could, and did die. And He rose from the dead.

It's so simple. I think that is why people reject it. It means the denial of self, and the acknowledging of God.

Personally, I saw plainly that I was a sinner. I was incomplete. Empty inside. Until I trusted Christ. Then He filled that void with Himself.

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
