@fmf saidYou know, every idea has an origin, and it is incumbent upon us to know the origins of our ideas and to be able to clearly communicate about them.
You clearly think Appeal to Authority and Appeal to Tradition work in conversations. They seem to be almost the only ideas you offer at times.
Moreover, who is a greater authority?
The foolish internet poster, Philokalia?
Or St. Dionysius or St. John Chrysostom?
It is clear, is it not, that I am nothing, but they are something...
It sounds like you are just complaining that I research and back up my ideas, and try to demonstrate their context.
What? You can't do that?
@philokalia saidPost as you see fit.

-Removed-I assume we are going to have like 3, 4 more back & forths on this one.
How about you just take time to type a couple paragraphs and not subject me to hours of searching in hope of finding something relevant that you may have said before.
What?
You literally can't bear your own ideas and don't want to restate them?
@fmf saidThis is a pretty amazing hardstyle remix of an old drinking song that I have heard other versions of before.
Post as you see fit.
To be honest, I do not know to what extent it is a drinking song, but that's the feeling that I get.
Sefa is a particularly interesting "Frenchstyle" artist because he was signed at the tender age of 14.
@philokalia saidWhy do you think that you asserting that something is "heretical" constitutes a 'debating point'?
I think the reason you won't engage is because you know that your views are heretical and do not have a Biblical basis in the least, and so you are afraid.
@philokalia saidThe thing is there has to be something we can go to for judging truth or it is all nothing but a self generating process, what I think is true, therefore it is true. Scripture if you reject it in favor of your own likes and dislikes becomes just another book you can take or leave. The great lie Satan has been using on man has not changed since the beginning, " “Did God actually say..." once you go there you have left God. I think the thing you find is nothing from a Biblical perspective is going to come in defense of many doctrines here by some, others may use a verse or two that they are twisting so that the meaning doesn't line up with the rest of scripture to suit their beliefs in what they think is right, therefore what they think is right. This instead of looking God's Word for truth, people look within as if truth is there instead of nothing but opinions.
