@kellyjay saidFor me, "evil" is egregious immorality (where "immorality" has been defined in numerous previous discussions as doing harm, deceiving and coercing). "Evil" is gratuitous, sociopathic action that is gravely detrimental and/or damaging to others, and which stems from an abject lack or even absence of empathy and compassion. What about you?
Our opinions can be and more times than not, different, but if evil isn't the same
for everyone, it is only a human construct.
@fmf saidIf we are it with respect to reality sure, you assume that in all your responses. The trouble with your position is it doesn’t bother taking in anything other than your opinion, a fix north is true, any ole direction being north because we want it to be is not. Doing evil because you think it is good will not justify you, any more than walking south because you think it is north will get where you want to go.
"Evil" is a human construct. What else could it be? It's a word humans use to refer to certain kinds of behaviour. Do you disagree with my definition a few pages ago, and if you do, why?
@kellyjay saidYour metaphorical "north" and "south" stuff is how you describe the influence that your moral compass has on you. Fair enough. Presumably you think everyone's moral compass should be the same as yours.

@fmf saidEveryone is the same as mine, and mine like everyone else’s is broken! This is why what you have been saying has anything to do with what I have been talking about, you have yet to grasp my point!

@kellyjay saidI have no difficulty whatsoever grasping your simplistic "point" at all. You have very little to say that exhibits much insight into the human condition, you repeat it over and over again, and it is interspersed with endless dodges and informal fallacies. These weaknesses, despite being obscurantist and frequently disingenuous, do not render your "point" difficult to grasp.

@fmf saidAnd yet you keep misrepresenting me.
