hello,
do you believe in reincrnation, that you've had alot of life's before this life and maybe gonna have alot more after this life??
The soul (memory and personality) is just a bunch of chemical reactions held together by the brain, the heart and the lungs.
When one of these three stop, the chemical reactions stop. End of scenario.
And that is it.

No.

I, for one, believe that the universe has a few tricks up it's sleeves.

Care to explain why not?
I choose not to believe in any of these things, including reincarnation, for two reasons: 1. no one has ever been able to convincingly describe a mechanism for reincarnation, and 2. it goes against my whole view of the way the world works in a natural (rather than supernatural) way.
Of course, I understand the argument that goes that just because we don't have an explanation doesn't mean something doesn't exist - I've used that one myself in these forums.
But, in reality, it's my second reason that has most importance for me. My worldview is based upon this notion - that the world is understandable in a rational and natural way, and that supernatural events and phenomena do not exist and do not occur.

You must have an awful small, box like view of the universe.
The diversity of stuff in the universe is astounding and constantly amazes me.
In fact, it surprises me that anyone feels the need to invent magical stuff when there's a whole heap of real stuff that is just as exciting around us.
