That was very nicely put. In my case I had to figure it out on my own, rather late in the game.

Probably some people think the same of me.

However, publicly I'm willing to admit that I probably went too far in my description of Ghost the other day while standing with you against his little slurs -- because at the time and even now I don't have the sense that it was just joshing between friends who knew what each other could take when it came to such insults. If I was wrong about that, I wouldn't mind being corrected.

And of course I do remember and appreciate Ghost's gracious and kindly taking me back into a certain vanished club after several of my own stormings-out, despite the jackdaw mockery of some others at the time.

I don't think I can blame any of this on early Alzheimer's or any other excuses, but I hope there's still a little bit of merit to be found for an idiot like me who stood up for you when it seemed like you were being bullied.

I have been on this Site now for going on very close to 19 years. Seldom is anything said on here meant to be demeaning to anyone. We all a bunch of internet chess nerds who have known each other for many years. Of course it is just joshing around. Like a big family we have our real disagreements but then what family can say they are perfect?

I certainly give as well as I get, but rarely hold grudges against anyone and if I do they just don't last. Like I told someone one time. How can you dislike someone you never met, you may dislike the persona they display.
