Many parts of the Holy Bible are not meant to be taken literally.
So your question is not a fair question and you should know that
if you had read the Bible. I advise you to read the Holy Bible
before you start asking questions on the contents. Wouldn't you
do the same before asking guestions on the contents of any other
book. It makes you look foolish to ask questions when you have
very little idea what is written in the book. It was like the time
I was standing before my teacher attempting to give a book report
on "The Red Badge of Courage" when I had not really read the
book. I had no idea how to answer her questions. I was a fool.

Are you claiming that the bible itself says which of its own parts are meant to be taken literally and which parts are not?

What I told Wolfgang59 also applies to you. Read all of it and you will
not have to ask foolish questions. I am getting tired of answering them.

Well I have read it. You appear to be claiming that the bible itself says which of its own parts are meant to be taken literally and which parts are not. Do you stand by this or are you backing away from it?

No, I did not say such a thing. Why must you continually lie?

"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and
immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will
be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second
death.” (Revelation 21:8 NASB)

I was referring to the Liars. Look again, it is toward the end. You always
jump to conclusions. Don't you like to read? 😏

Well, RJHinds, you said this:

"Many parts of the Holy Bible are not meant to be taken literally.
So your question is not a fair question and you should know that
if you had read the Bible."

Where does the bible itself say which of its own parts are meant to be taken literally and which parts are not to be taken literally?

Calling me a "liar" isn't an answer to my question.

Is Revelation supposed to be quoted, smack down style, to dodge simple direct questions in a discussion?

You don't deserve an answer. Reread the Holy Bible, if you really ever read it,
and figure out the answer for yourself, Spanky. 😀

Southern Baptists are capable of practically anything, best treated like a skillet full of
rattlers! But no, in fact, its anti biblical,

(2 Timothy 2:24-25) . . .But a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be
gentle toward all, qualified to teach, keeping himself restrained under evil,  instructing
with mildness those not favorably disposed; . . .
