Yes, really. Very few, if any, atheists consider the point I raised about early Christians being willing to be persecuted, tortured and executed for refusing to deny something they claim to have seen with their own eyes (as opposed to something they could be honestly mistaken about.) The “why die for a lie?” question is one atheists never seem to consider, and, when they do, they have no coherent answer (as you simply demonstrated.)

I tackled it head on when Fetchmyjunk made exactly this point. I tackled it head on when dj2becker made exactly this point. And I tackled it head on when you - Romans2009 - made exactly this point today. None of these screen names seemed to listen to what the answer was.

At the heart of Christianity is humility and honesty. How do you equate that with your continual deception here in these forums?

Do you think that puts your Christian values in a good light?

Atheists don't believe God exists.

Please explain Becker (I mean Romans1009) why would an atheist hate or fear something they don't believe in. Does that sound rational to you? - I suspect, in the numerous conversations you have had with atheists, you simply haven't been listening to what they're saying.

I at least hoped your new incarnation would be a little smarter.
You aren’t thinking clearly (on several levels.)

One, I’m not Becker.

Two, my point that you raised is that self-professed “atheists” really either hate God (hence their constant need to mock and ridicule Him and His followers) or are really unsure if God exists and are searching for the truth by challenging believers or reinforcing their skepticism due to their being terrified at the possibility God does exist.
So the “atheist” really isn’t an atheist at all - he’s either a believer who hates God or he’s an agnostic.

I can agree with the thought of someone I don’t know. Don’t know why that seems so interesting. You’re now keeping track of how much time I’ve spent in the forums? You really are obsessed with me!

Both Fetchmyjunk and dj2becker offered this argument with almost the same lack of erudition. I*s there a blog you get it from?

This is dj2becker's plodding sense of banter-humour, down to a tee.

Your answer to me wasn’t coherent at all because you didn’t understand the difference between a belief and something seen with one’s own eyes. You apparently still don’t understand the difference.

I addressed this. You are pretending that I didn't.

I can understand why you’d rather debate if I’m Becker, even though I’ve said several times I’m not. You haven’t done so well debating the topic of this thread so it appears you’re seeking a diversion.

I beg to differ. I've done OK.

Just fine. I’m stating my beliefs and asking questions. I think maybe you’re being a little too sensitive🙂

What time is it in the Gulf?

Can you offer an example of my “deception?” I initially read that word as “depiction” - one of the hazards of posting from an iPhone

I’m not in the Gulf - I’m on the East Coast of the United States.

Judging by his profile, the screen name "dj2becker" packed up shop a couple of days ago.
