Its a brilliant illustration and yes the words of the bible are like music to our ears and you know its true because you are a musician and must listen to lots of music sometimes the same pieces time and again and know that some excerpts from tracks become noticeable only after many listens.
It's a terrible analogy. Take your organisations stance with regard to organ transplant, first it was okay, then it was bad and then suddenly it was okay again?

Did someone not hear something, then they did, and then they realised they heard it wrong?

The "blood" thing in the NT is about putting an end "blood sacrifice" and the activity surrounding that ~ this is clearly the case if you read the verse ~ and it has nothing whatsoever to do with "blood transfusions". Another way to look at it is: what do "blood transfusions" ~ which save lives ~ have to do with "blood sacrifice" which ends life? There is no connection. They are two completely different topics.

Its a brilliant illustration, Bible is a big book, one cannot understand everything even after reading it many times, its simply unreasonable to think that its the case.

no i will discuss my stance on a religious basis, if you want to discuss the efficay of blood transfusions as a mode of treatment with themselves then perhaps someone else will oblige you.
You raised the topic and have dodged discussing it properly ever since.

i cannot see how a religion that prides itself on following the word of god accurately could so blatantly not follow the word of god accurately. if i were in your position i would be fuming at the elders for 'guessing ...[text shortened]... he elders should have crystal clear directions from the bible. do you think it is crystal clear?
yes its as clear a babbling Scottish burn, mineral water straight from the hills, drinkable and refreshing! Our Elders are awesome, they love us and we love them.

Check out the verse ~ the actual words ~ the 'ruling' is based on. It's very interesting.

Actually its based upon an array of different verses and principles all of which one needs to understand so as to be able to put the constituent parts together so as to form a whole. There is no single verse as you erroneously state.

I'd be more inclined to take them to the Accident and Emergency department at Stobhill hospital, Glasgow rather than pull out my Bowie knife, sterilise it in a fire, slit open the wound and suck out the poison. Wow I know not the state of the NHS in England but get it sorted.

if there was a hospital available then you wouldnt be required to suck the poison out. the question was -

"would you suck venom from a snake bite on your childs legs if it was required to save your childs life?"

No need to debate it with me, robbie. SwissGambit absolutely zinger'd you on this topic a couple of years ago, right here on this forum. No more debate with you on it is required as far as my understanding of the issue is concerned. I am sure your organisation will change its mind on the topic at some point in the future anyway.

ok what about drugs, Jehovahs says you must not smoke smack, do you then conclude that since he forbids you smoking smack that its ok to intravenously inject it into your vein.

wow i just produced a clickable link!
Have you lost leave of your senses? You're equating blood transfusions, a practice which saves countless lives each year (following proper procedures), with the taking of a highly addictive drug which kills countless people and destroys countless lives each year.
