I would have used a comma instead of a semicolon.

Do you really loll about hoping for someone/anyone to inflict a wound?

Weird, sad, maybe just English, but still weird and/or sad.

Maybe I'm just not the happy-slapper you've been waiting for.

Paul was grieved because the MEN were doing wrong things and abusing this girl. The girl was actually a good person and told people thatPaul and SIlas were from God - ... These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. (Acts 16:17 KJV) .

Does that sound like mediums are demons or of Satan as you claim?
She had a demon in her, and Paul cast it out; the men making money off of the demon were upset. What verse in your Bible says Paul was grieved with the men making money off her? When Jesus was confronted with other Demon-possessed people, and they yelled out who Jesus was, Jesus told them to shut up. Do you think they were good demons because they claimed Jesus was the Son of God, the Holy One of God?

It always has been a big money maker; especially in times past.
It’s human nature to want to know that things will turn out all right, and to turn to support when they feel unable to influence the course of events themselves.

She had a demon in her,
Yet another reason why I do not trust church people. You dishonestly change the wording of the bible to suit your doctrine. The bible never says she had a demon in her.

So, you're saying that Paul, cast a Godly Spirit out of this young woman in the Name of Jesus because this Godly Spirit bothered Paul? Or because Paul was troubled that this young womens owners were abusing her? Paul would pray for God's Holy Spirit to help and strengthen this young woman in that case; not pray for God to leave her. Duh! And, There is only one Godly Spirit and that's God's Holy Spirit (Himself).
With the messed up doctrines that you've come to believe, all on your own accord; You clearly need more true Christian Church people around you. lol... You're interesting to say the least.

Thanks for your opinion. What did the bible say is what matters. Nobody is interested in your opinions.

The bible says she had a spirit of divination. That is the ability to see the future. How is that an evil spirit or a demon? This becomes evil and sinful when it is used for profit, and that is what was going on. And there was no way stopping the evil men who were doing it because it was a slave girl. They owned her so Paul removed the spirit of divination.

You people go ahead and keep changing the bible.

The slave girl did not have to read the future for profit for them. She could have pretended at anytime that she could not do it. Clearly this "spirit of divination" was not of the Lord. Because it bothered Paul; and, the Lord removed it dummy. duh!... lol...
Paul would have welcomed The Spirit of the Lord at anytime, not attempt to cast God out of someone. Does that even make sense to you?

[Deuteronomy 18:10]
[Deuteronomy 18:10-12 KJV] 10 "There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee."

Changing the word divination to demon is the issue. Why change the word.

All power comes from God. Divination is the ability to see the future and this is part of the spirit of God or gift of the Holy Spirit which was also given to Christians. It is also called gifts of prophecy or prophesying.

Why was she not a Prophet then? Who change the word divination to demon over this issue?
Biblical meaning of divination:
"As defined by Baker’s Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology, Divination is the communication with a deity for the purpose of determining the deity's knowledge, resulting in a clarification of a decision or discernment of the future. Two forms of divination developed in the ancient Near East, one using inductive manipulation of natural or human phenomena and the other taking intuitive forms of inner revelation."

Origin of Divination
"The term “divination” originates from Latin divinare "to foresee, to foretell, to predict, to prophesy" related to divinus, divine, or "to be inspired by a god." Divination is the effort to obtain insight into a question or situation by way of an occultic, standardized process, or ritual. To engage in divination is to reveal mysterious knowledge by supernatural practices. It is correlated with the occult and involves fortune-telling or soothsaying, as it used to be called."

Bible Meaning of Divination
"The Bible provides God’s judgment of divination in Deuteronomy 18:10: “There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer.” Furthermore, 1 Samuel 15:23 likens rebellion to the “sin of divination,” saying, “For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from being king."

Divination and Israel’s Exile
"Practicing divination is noted as one of the reasons for Israel’s exile as 2 Kings 17:17 says, “And they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings and used divination and omens and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.” Jeremiah 14:14 spoke of the false prophets of the time, saying, “They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds.” Therefore, in contrast to God’s truth, divination is corrupt, dishonest, and fruitless."

The Slave Girl possessed by a Spirit of Divination
"One Biblical example of a person practicing divination occurs in the book of Acts. As Luke traveled with Paul and Silas in the city of Philippi, he recorded an encounter with a sorceress:"

“As we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. She followed Paul and us, crying out, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation." And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And it came out that very hour. But when her owners saw that their hope of gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers. And when they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, "These men are Jews, and they are disturbing our city. They advocate customs that are not lawful for us as Romans to accept or practice." The crowd joined in attacking them, and the magistrates tore the garments off them and gave orders to beat them with rods. And when they had inflicted many blows upon them, they threw them into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safely. Having received this order, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.” Acts 16:16-24

Seek Wisdom from only God
"Divination in any manner is sin, as a corrupted seeking of spiritual knowledge. The practicing of divination will deceive you and separate you from the wisdom of God. Christians should avoid all endeavors related to divination, including fortune-telling, astrology, witchcraft, tarot cards, and spell-casting. The spirit realm is real, but it is not harmless. As taught by Scripture, spirits that are not the Holy Spirit or angelic beings are malevolent spirits."

"Christians need not dread the spirits connected to divination; neither are Christians to inquire knowledge from them. "True, benevolent wisdom comes from God as said in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."

Scripture please? All Spiritual activity does not come from God. There's Satan, demons, Angelic beings, etc.
