Indonesian Christians don't invest "pagan meaning" in the crucifix.
fine we understand that if they sprinkle it with Holy water its good to go and yet it cannot negate the facts that it is a pagan symbol. Are they also reticent about examining evidence?

sure there is nothing but it does not negate what it is, personally believe? oh dear, i know you dont really do evidence but this should put to flight the rather flimsy assertion that my argument is based on personal belief,
If it's not your personal belief why are you propagating it here?

We know some things are pagan symbols, so what? Christians don't care.

Unless Abdullah Kareem has evidence that Indonesian Christians invest "pagan meaning" in the crucifix, then I am not sure what his relevance is to what we are discussing.

Sure, but we have no right to condemn others on such minor issues.

So it is not one of your personal beliefs? It's not something you personally believe?

But the evidence here is that they do not invest "pagan meaning" in the crucifix. A symbol only represents the meaning that people invest in it, nothing more and nothing less. And this is so regardless of how strongly your personal feelings are on this matter.

actually no, for the Christian is counseled quite strongly to keep away from these things if I am honest.

so you keep saying and yet it does not negate what it is effhim. I provided evidence which you have ignored and continue to assert that its a personal matter, how pathetic. (in the original sense of the word)

What evidence did you provide about what the crucifix symbolizes to Indonesian Christians? None. You provided a link to a text written by someone you agree with. He said absolutely nothing about Indonesian Christians.

But I didn't ignore it. I have addressed what Abdullah Kareem said.
