1 John 5:18: We know that whosoever is begotten of God sinneth not; but he that was begotten of God keepeth himself, and the evil one toucheth him not.

So is everybody a sinner like you and RBHILL say or do the "begotten of God sinneth not" like the Bible says?

Really? Maybe you should read the next verse:

18 We know that whosoever is begotten of God sinneth not; but he that was begotten of God keepeth himself, and the evil one toucheth him not.

19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the evil one.

Is Jesus "we"?

* You call me good.
* Only God is good.
* Either I am God, or I am not good. ...[text shortened]... thymeme is a Disjunctive Hypothetical Syllogism

* Either A or B
* Not B
* Therefore A

No.
He says he's not God.
You start having chest pains.
You ask me "what shall I do?"
I say "Well what are you asking me for? Only doctors know what you should do"

It's pretty clear I'm telling you I'm not a doctor.

Christians commit sins, of course, but they ask God to forgive them, and they continue serving him. God has freed beleivers from their slavery to Satan, and he keeps them save from Satans continued attacks. The rest of the world does not have the Christian's freedom to obey God. Unless they come to Christ in faith, they have no choice but to obey Satan. There is no middle ground; people either belong to God and obey him, or they live under Satan's control.

Note from the bible Verses 18-19

This is probably offensive to most people in the world-liberal Christians included.

You guys seem to think that Jesus is implying that he is not God! It is very simple. I was once confused over this verse so I asked my Dad. Since all the non-Christians here are not interested in the truth, but bashing Christianity, as I have discovered (I said that anyone who is confused over this matter can search the internet for the answer) I might not bother to say what Jesus means. But for RBHill's sake and others I'll say it: The rich man didn't know Jesus was God. He was assuming that Jesus was just a great teacher, yet still an ordinary man, who earnered salvation. Jesus knew he didn't know Jesus was God, so he said "why do you call me good?" Theres a lot more I could say on this matter but anyone who wants to know more can just search the internet as I said earlier. So don't ask for more, If I'm feeling nice I might tell you or give you a link if you PM me.

LMFAO! Does your Dad's words always overrule the clear words of Jesus in your "mind"? Jesus didn't say "why do you call me good" he said "Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." Does your Dad or google have an answer to the logical quandry I mentioned above?

Who's bashing Christianity here?
I asked a question and receive evasion and nonsense.
Anyways, not all Christians take the Bible literally.

They pray and understand because they are saved and Born Again.

A saved Sinner gets freedom to go to God and say sorry and get help, unlike a non-believer.
