OT and NT, its the same God, our relationship differs with Him during both, but He started
a work in the OT that brought Jesus into the NT.

From there God’s work has been towards one end, our redemption! He started a nation through Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, then through them Jesus Christ. God has been working for us not against us! Not because we were worthy, we are sinners, not because God gets anything out of us. He created the universe what could we possibly give the One who created everything and holds it all together by the power of His Word. He loves us so He has been attempting turn us to loving each other and restore our relationship with Him.
We fight against His grace, and each other, all the while He gives us all we need for life in His universe. We don’t deserve His loving kindness, yet only because of His long suffering are we even here. Please don’t misunderstand the grace we all have right now, as God not carrying and doing anything.
