Great song. I believe he is singing about a lost love... but I have it on my playlist (it played for me when I first introduced it to you.. it occurred you might like it) as a spiritually uplifting song. The "I feel you" are my words to God, though he is I believe singing it to a departed loved one.
Originally posted by sumydid Yep the context is as expected. I can't think of a thing more prevalent in the church today... whereas all the "good stuff" is soaked up like a sponge, while the stuff folks don't want to hear or doesn't make them feel all warm and fuzzy... is rejected outright.
Thanks bro.
You can test this yourself.
Ask any 10 people do they believe God exists. Not Jesus, but God. Say you're taking a survey. 5-7 people say they believe there is a God. Then ask them do they believe Satan exists. 2-4 will say they believe Satan exists.
Keep in mind more older people will believe both exist, while more younger people will believe neither exist. But you'll still get a sizable number of people who believe God exists, but not Satan.

There are many good love songs to Jesus, however, atheist would not
even listen to them if they knew it.

My little bro gave me his mp3 player about 6 years ago (creative Zen) given he's musically inclined he has a large array of songs on it that I would never have found myself. I haven't deleted many of these.
On the other hand he's also a "born again" fundamentalist christian and had left his Christian music on it also. With the exception of one song by Jars of Clay they got deleted.
In general Christian music tends only be enjoyed by Christians because said music can often be described by snivelling, weak, pathetic, and obsequious lyrics with respect to themselves and their imaginary friend in the sky . The rest of us would rather to listen to a cat screeching.

Baloney mate!
Music transcends any perceived barriers. Although I do find most christian music crap, all music is important and plays a role. Even if one song only "moves" one person, the music has won.
Music is a great drug with minimal side effects.
It soothes the soul and it doesn't matter whether it's christian or satanic. It's all good. Even the bad stuff is good.
