the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit in a Christian clearly does not mean that Christian no longer sins.
The greater the sin, the greater the grace, eh wot? 😉

I do not at all oppose the direct quotes of Jesus being highlighted in red color.
I am not against that and would have such a New Testament with no problem.

Actually the whole Bible is the word of Jesus though.

All of Scripture is "God-breathed" and imparts life into our opened hearts. That is opened hearts turned to the Lord Jesus with a willingness to be spoken to by Him - and changed in our living BY Him.

That was half of the Apostle Paul’s point. You should read the rest of what he said on that.

And yeah, it’s possible to “grieve” the Holy Spirit. Scripture’s pretty clear on that.

@Kevin-Eleven

You know God is not so interested in our seins. He has made abundant provision for the cleansing of our sins. Sometimes I believe God is not so much concerned about the sins as we are.

One sacrifice for sins of all mankind - One act of obedience was doer by Jesus to remove the guilt of our sins from us. This provision was made before anyone here was born.

But the removal of the guilt of sins is for something. It is not and end solely for its own sake and no other purpose. He removes the guilt that He may impart His Holy Spirit into our innermost spiritual being and save us from what we were when we did sin. That is to cause us to walk a mingled an united life with the Perfect One the Lord Jesus.

There is the "MUCH MORE" of being saved in His indwelling divine life given to us.

"For if we, being enemies, were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled." (Rom. 5:10)

"For if we, being enemies, were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled." (Rom. 5:10)

The unbeliever needs to turn from his unbelief and receive God's beyond gracious gift to reconcile him by the death of Jesus for him.

And the believer needs to have "much more" of the "much more".

Much more being saved in the realm of Jesus Christ now compounded with their personality and united with them for a new way to live.

Romans 7:1-6 [all copied by hand)

Or are you ignorant, brothers (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law lords it over the man as long as he lives? (v1)

For the married woman is bound by the law of her husband while he is living; but if the husband does, she is discharged from the law regarding her husband. (v.2) ...[text shortened]... that which we were held, so that we serve in newness of spirit and not in oldness of letter." (v.6)
This first part of Romans 7 is really profound. I would not like to labor on it to explain unless there were some who were really interested.
