Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would speak even of things to come and teach them all the truth. So why do you castigate against Paul whom God used to author 13 or so of the 27 New Testament books.

" But the Comforter the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and remind you of all the things which I have said to you." (John 14:26)

So Paul elaborated on what Jesus said. And the Holy Spirit continued to teach all things to the Christian church through His apostle Paul.

Then I show you where Paul said EXACTLY THE SAME THING AS CHRIST, but you continue to ignore those words of Paul. There is no difference between what Jesus preached and what the Apostles preached.

    Lying again.

I have done quite a lot of comparing the epistles of Paul to the words spoken by Christ in the Gospels.

    You're a liar.

All it takes is the reading and understanding of all that is said , both Christ and the Apostles, without twisting it. But you know that if you do that your doctrine falls apart.

    Fake alarm.
    Nothing "fell apart".

You or anyone else can say that they don't agree.
    Nothing "fell apart".

You cannot make anything I write here "fall apart".
When you fail to do so you go on to a tirade of really nothing but hot air and ad homs.

I don't count your disagreement with something you really don't understand very well as it having "fallen apart".

I have great pity for anyone who decides to follow you and your crooked doctrine.

Yet you cannot show false doctrine and you cannot show any crookedness.
    You can fume.
You can start new thread after new thread after new thread as variations on a basic legalistic theme.

The way of abiding in the living Spirit of Christ will result in more manifestation of righteous living then your way of self improvement.

You know you are really like the older brother in the parable of the Prodigal Son.
The older brother - bitter, envious, resentful, self righteous, unwilling to rejoice that someone has been made alive who was "dead".

You have an "older brother" attitude towards those realizing that apart from abiding in the available Person of the Spirit of Jesus, there is no hope to live the proper Christian life.

For certain, n John 14:23 the keeping the Lord's word and the receiving Him to make an abode in them is a cycle.

He makes His abode in His lovers.
    They love Him more.
    They keep His word more.

He makes His abode MORE with them.
    They love Him more.
    They keep His word more.

He increases His abiding in more of their personalities.
He makes His home in their hearts.
Room by room He moves in.
Over a life long relationship He moves more and more in.

There is no contradiction in this to anything I have ever taught about John 14.

But Rjk999's concept that an Atheist is a follower of Jesus Christ is suspect to a huge misunderstanding of the Word of God.

    Christ's 'followers' are the righteous.

Sorry if that is not to your liking.

Christ makes His followers righteous, without Him no one is.

In Christ the law is fulfilled in the believer. One cannot fulfill the law of himself. The righteousness of Christ is imputed, not earned.

    Simple Bible truth.

The truth is misunderstood by most people.

No one earns eternal life. Forgiveness of sins is by the grace of God.

Grace ~ Getting what one doesn't deserve.

Mercy ~ Not getting what one deserves.

I equate it to walking a path only one of which leads to salvation. Walking would be considered works, afterall a person is actually doing something.

Yet everyone walking every path is doing work, but only those on the correct road do a work that leads to salvation.

So is it work? Of couse not sonce everyone is doing works. Yet without the walking you will not get anywhere.

Not true, that only shows us how we are living our lives. We either excuse or condemn ourselves there, we are saved by God's grace through faith not of works least any of us boast. We do God's works after we go to Him for forgiveness.

Perhaps you should study rather than just read the bible.

Good idea, I also suggest asking God for eyes that see too!
