What if every day we all:
* Did some thing decent which made a difference to someone else and made a conscious effort not to cause harm or discomfort to anyone else.
* Spared a minute at the start of the each day to assess there plans in relation to the above.
* At the end of each day took a minute to reflect on the above.
* And we all did this because we felt it was right and did it without asking anything or expecting anything in return from it at all.

I reckon the world would be greatly improved...

Sure it would be nice but, sorry pal, it just ain't going to happen.
Originally posted by Tirau DanMy problem is not with the sentiment, I think it's a great idea. My problem is with the 'What if we all...' bit. Certainly, you and I and a lot of good people could abide by this, in fact I'm sure a great many do. But too many people simply will never think like this.
Change, mock, act, react, reject. you took a moment to check out the thought and may reflect on it again soon or pass it on in jest.
It's about having a conscience or not. Do you or not?
It only takes a minute or so each day and costs nothing
but could make a massive difference to everyone.
Whether it be through malice, idleness (something I know I'm guilty of, and will work to change-honest 😉), or whatever.
What you're talking about is not the little change it appears to be, it's a huge, world changing idea. As RedMike says, first we need to change people's attitudes towards each other and that, my friend, is a Very Big Thing indeed.
