What if every day we all:
* Did some thing decent which made a difference to someone else and made a conscious effort not to cause harm or discomfort to anyone else.
* Spared a minute at the start of the each day to assess there plans in relation to the above.
* At the end of each day took a minute to reflect on the above.
* And we all did this because we felt it was right and did it without asking anything or expecting anything in return from it at all.

Can we change the first dot point to read:

* Did some thing decent which was of benefit to someone else and made a conscious effort not to cause harm or discomfort to anyone else.

I reckon the world would be greatly improved...

Yes, and what if we could all have supermodel girfriends, bank balances with 10 digits, a garage full of ferraris and never have to do any work for it.

Sure it would be nice but, sorry pal, it just ain't going to happen.

Change, mock, act, react, reject. you took a moment to check out the thought and may reflect on it again soon or pass it on in jest.

It's about having a conscience or not. Do you or not?
It only takes a minute or so each day and costs nothing
but could make a massive difference to everyone.

These things aren't going to happen while we're encouraged to see fellow human beings as a market to be sold to or a labour force to be used.
We need to change the way we interact with each other economically, only then can we change the way we interact with each other socially.

My problem is not with the sentiment, I think it's a great idea. My problem is with the 'What if we all...' bit. Certainly, you and I and a lot of good people could abide by this, in fact I'm sure a great many do. But too many people simply will never think like this.
Whether it be through malice, idleness (something I know I'm guilty of, and will work to change-honest 😉), or whatever.
What you're talking about is not the little change it appears to be, it's a huge, world changing idea. As RedMike says, first we need to change people's attitudes towards each other and that, my friend, is a Very Big Thing indeed.

There is too much greed for world peace.

Just do it and more will follow.
You'll feel better for it
Things around you will change
Tell others to do it.

I remember an episode of the X-Files where they found a genie. Mulder got his three wishes and went for world peace as his first one. Suddenly it was very quiet - everyone in the world had vanished.

That is how we could get world peace.

There will be peace when Jesus returns.

Ask yourself, (I'm truely not answering for you) "Would not Jesus (or any other historical prophet of peace) tell you very angrily not to be lazy by waiting for a him or any other leader to bring peace? Didn't Jesus want you to make it happen?
