RBHill makes a good point, that no matter how wretched, how despicable, how horrific the acts, if you are truly repent, you still and can be forgiven.

There is an excellent Biblical example of King Mannesseh of Israel, whom the Bible describes as acting worse than the pagan nations surrounding it, and they practised child sacrifices and phallic worship. He was removed and imprisoned, and yet, when he was in such a wretched state, he repented and was eventually restored to the Kingship in Israel.

Gods love is not so short that it cannot reach the very lowest penitent sinner.

.... but if you dare to believe in another god then it doesn't matter how good you are. There's nothing more dispicable than believing in a different religion and not repenting for that.
