I usually go to the same church until I find myself geting bored. Then I go to a different type of church for awhile, etc. However, my wife just sticks with the same church because she enjoys the social exchange among the people she knows.

Close down mosques on what authority? Are we throwing freedom of religion out the window? Might want to think twice about that, because your and my freedom to have no religion is threatened by that.

Information is a better strategy. I'm all for disseminating information as long as we check it for accuracy.

I'm also 100% in favor of no state funding for any religion - not just Islam.

Let us not forget that many Christians also advocate the repression of women and it was not very many years ago that they went along with the rest of western society and supported slavery. Islam has not had as many years to grow out of some of the backward behavior. Also, they have not been integrated fully into western society. Initial culture shock is inevitable.
