You might want to ask yourself if it's "right" to objectify women.

A fun title

You usually don't say these kind of things unless you are joking, otherwise it would have been quite cruel...

Explain what you mean by objectify.

From wiki. Not exactly what I mean, but close enough:
"...the objectification of women involves disregarding personal and intellectual abilities and capabilities, and women's reduction to instruments of sexual pleasure for men.Examples of phenomena seen by some feminists as objectifying women include depictions of women in advertising and media, images of women in pornography, as well as images in more mainstream media such as advertising and art, stripping and prostitution, men evaluating women sexually in public spaces, and cosmetic surgery, particularly breast enlargement."

But surely is objectification also about objectifying men, of similar reasons?
And surely you can objectify another person of any reason, not only sexual reasons, right?

If thats the definition and if you think its not 'right', then the Bible is the biggest culprit so dont kid yourself. The Bible is most politically incorrect, sexist, male chauvenstic, racist, class conscious book ever written. Let me know if you want me to start quoting verses.

If the bible was written in our times, it would be illegal to posess by law. Mein Kampf is.

Quite likely. Probably just parts of the NT .. the gospels...might be allowed.

Now now ToO be careful here . This begs two questions.

First of all you are quoting John and not Jesus so this is a bit off your logic here. Are you tacitly admitting that John is sound? However , Paul I presume is still persona non grata? Don't go too far away from Jesus you might quote St Paul by mistake.

Also , given what you have just quoted , are we not then entitled to know if the truth is in you or not? Have a re-read of these words and ask yourself what they mean for you.

Of course it would include objectification of men, but this topic was about women.

Yes, there are any number ways that a person can be objectified.

No, I don't think it's right. It's downright juvenile.

Yes, the Bible has lots of things wrong with it.

Do you believe that Jesus objectified women? I'd be interested in seeing verses where you believe He did.

You really struggle with the most basic of concepts, don't you?

The fact remains that Jesus taught salvation through righteousness. No matter how hard you try to deflect attention away from this, it remains true. Your attempts to deflect only become more pathetic.

You continue to treat as self evident that which we are supposed to be debating. You talk to me about "deflecting" after you spend and entire thread almost refusing to answer straight questions?

There are 12 basic theories I have about you....

1) You are part of some bizarre isolated cult
2) You are a satanist who enjoys baiting christians for dubious reasons
3) You don't really care and just enjoy jerking others off to see what they say
4) You do care but are just so stuck in your head that you cannot relate anything to the real world
5) You are a disaffected ex-christian who wants to prove to himself that it's all bunkum by trying to run rings around basic theology
6) You are some kind of forum junkie who plays power games for fun
7) You do actually have some form of truth but it's based on perfectionsim and elitist concepts
8) You are a bit naive and dim and just don't really get where a lot of us are coming from.
9) You are actually a computer program created by some nerd and don't really exist
10) You are a teenage kid just messing about with your friends
11) You are off and away in some remote place with incense sticks where there's no day to day problems to trip you up into sin
12) You haven't overcome sin yourself but you are searching for someone who has.

It may be a great read and hold ...[text shortened]... ife unless you like playing Harry Potter because you havent matured past the age of 5 years old.
the truth is not absolute. a fairy tale you know is fictional can still teach you something.
if you cannot take each story and choose what is worthy and what is manure then you can yell you are a freethinker all you want but you are an idiot.

i saw that from the minute you started here that you weren't looking for a debate, but trying to impose your view on things on us. it is really sad to see how desperate you are for approval. oh well.

P.S. even harry potter can teach you something. but you cannot see beyond the wand waving and you cannot see the bible beyond the noah story and the 7 day genesis.
