It is my opinion based through a life that I have lived. I was brought up in a church and spent 4 years in a Christian school.
I start a thread here saying that the Noah fantasy is rubbish and present evidence of why this is the case and thereby leading to the creation story in the very same chapter being of the same rubbish and the entire Bible as in Jesus life and you idiots cant even discuss it.

Obviously you lack the ability to read and understand simple English. I know those verses, and they apply to elders of the church - bishops, deacons etc. Cant you read that?
If Paul spoke specifically about elders of the church having one wife, it must mean that it was normal to have more than one wife. So I say it again : there is no commandment either ...[text shortened]... thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
But you have no idea what they mean. The instructions apply to those seeking the office. It does not mean that others may have more than one wife.
Like most people, you read into the verse what you want it to say.

No, I do not have lunch with other men without my husband, I would not put myself in the position where anyone could say I am doing something I shouldn't.
I put myself under him, that is the ...[text shortened]... an, I can say "NO" for that is against the Lord.
And no, he has not asked me to do this.
I suppose you are happy, and ultimately that is what is important. However, it has been my experience that people willingly give up their personal freedom for one of two reasons: fear or religion. Sometimes I wonder if there is much of a difference between the two.
Just please understand, my wife is very happy, I'm very happy and neither one of us must bow to the other's authority. The arrangement you seem to have with your husband is certainly within your right to have, but I will never understand why you put up with it. I know, I know...God commands it, but this only leads me to question the authority of the Bible not the sovereignty of my wife.

You unbelievers have no idea what you are talking about. The Bible is a mystery to you. You quote the book, and interpret it any way you want to support your twisted ideas.
It's bad enough that so many Christians don't understand the Bible.
What makes you so special?

ah, but you are not trying to discuss, you are trying to shine your freethinker light upon us stupid ignorant believers.
the fact that you think noah story leads to jesus' life being rubbish is proof enough you are an illogical idiotic arrogant twit.
Originally posted by josephwYes you are. Just count yourself lucky you dont live in Solomon's days or you would be a very busy little man.
I'm not special, and neither are you.
Even if I did understand the Bible, which I do, how would you know it if I told you so?

Can he answer for himself?
I like you Kirk. I like going around about stuff with you. I think you and I are more alike than it appears. But why should I be influenced by you as to the character of The Skipper?
I take each person on as they come.
